Contest Update — Extension
UPDATE:
I’ve decided to extend the contest for the two $25.00 gift cards and autographed book until May 5th. That gives you a little more time to get crackin’ on those unicorn stories. Don’t worry about it being too short. Even 100 words will do. Just don’t go over 1,000 words. It’s all about the laugh factor.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day
Whew! Do you all remember the short but yummy feature I used to run? Hint: I used to post this feature on a Friday. If you’re still wondering, it’s Fudge Filled Friday. Well, I had to stop posting those sinful recipes for fear I’d increase three more pant sizes.
Well, last night I had to slip back into the dark side. My employer decided to have a party and we had to bring in some sort of green food. I ended up making fudge. I had a whole bunch of butterscotch and white chocolate chips I needed to use up, so I melted them all, adding some green food coloring and condensed milk. I then went to pour the almond extract and–OOPS!–I poured more than I wanted. Awww butterfingers… or is it butterscotch fingers?
I managed to pour off most the extract, but because it was already going to be extremely almond-y, I added some slivered almonds to the mix. I was so worried it wouldn’t turn out or it would taste like crap. Thankfully, after adding a bit more white chocolate that I found and a little vanilla extract, it cut down the almond taste. It ended up tasting pretty good.
I brought my creation to work, but much to my dismay (or delight, since I can now bring it back home with me) not many people at my work ate any. Maybe all that green gooey goodness scared them off!
Here it is in all it’s glory… The green goodness that is Butterscotch White Chocolate Almond Fudge

Well, I suppose this qualifies as weird too, wouldn’t you say? LOL
Cheers!
Two (technically three) chances to win!
Buy a copy of Wings of Desire from March 5 – May 5th to be eligible for a drawing for a $25.00 Barnes and Noble gift card. Email proof of purchase to arianna (at) ariannaskye (dot) com.
If you’ve already purchased or can’t afford to purchase the book, do not despair. Send me a funny story about unicorns (no more than 1,000 words) to the same email address. You will also be eligible to win a $25.00 gift card to Amazon (My book is available there *hint hint*)
Also, I’ll select one of the stories that I liked the best and send you an autographed copy of the print book.
So basically, you have two chances to win a gift card and another chance to win an autographed book (a $14.95 value!).
Good luck to everyone!
Hugs!
Arianna
